About The Event
The Crapshooters Jive Band is a newly formed band under the leadership of Dan Douglas and Ross Wooldridge. These 2 seasoned jazzmen devised this band after a successful run of over 40 years with the Dixie Demons Jazz Band of Toronto Ontario. Playing on the love of older jazz music, the 2 have recreated authentic performances of the jive masters like Louis Jordan, Cab Calloway and Louis Prima using all new arrangements. Using the vocal talents of Douglas and pianist Spencer Evans, the band is a high energy ensemble with a tight horn section, hot soloists and pounding rhythm section.
